Power Changers

If you have small kids that love remote control vehicles, you are going to love Tyco Power Changers. What is a Power Changer, you might ask? Well, Power Changers are remote control vehicles that are powered by a small power module that requires a quick charge that snaps into the back each Power Changer vehicle easily. Here is some more information.

Power Changers come packaged as a pair of vehicles. One of the most popular packages sold are the land and sea pair which consists of a high performance race car and great looking racing speed boat. Each vehicle is quite small, only about 4 inches in length- not that much bigger than a matchbox car. So, if you ever wanted to control a vehicle similar to size as a matchbox- here is your chance. The remote control unit controls the vehicle with a total of 6 small buttons. On one side are four buttons configured in a circular shape to control the direction of the vehicle. On the other side of the remote control unit are two buttons, one to go and the other to stop. It is extremely easy to control these units and only takes a few minutes to get the hang of it. It should be noted that the radio control unit requires a 9 volt battery to operate.

The concept of the Power Changer is the key to these vehicles, since these cars are so small, you might be wondering how they can be powered, the key is the power changer unit which is powered by 2 AA batteries. The power changer unit can power the vehicle by snapping into it for a short period of time- transferring energy to the vehicle. It only takes about 2 minutes to fully charge a vehicle which then can last for about 4 minutes of racing fun.

The two vehicles that I like the most are the race car and speed boat package. The race car easily reaches quick speeds and can be controlled to ride around the room with precision. You can even enjoy making these vehicles spin and skid. The racing speed boat is ready for the bathtub or small pond. It moves around quite quickly, although a little more difficult to control. It should be noted that if you are using the racing speedboat in an open water source, do not let it get too far out, once the power dies down (after about 4 minutes of use) it may be hard to retrieve.

The Power Changer vehicles are perfect for children ages 5 and up due to their size and are extremely easy to work and control. They are also quite durable and can take a beating from crashes and other objects. While they only run for about 4 minutes, the downtime of only 2 minutes means that your kids do not have to wait around long to once again play with these vehicles. They are quite affordable as well, costing around the $20 mark and are sold under the Tyco label.
